Iniziamo con la poesia di Eugenio Montale per salutare in versi la stagione estiva.

Meriggiare pallido e assorto
presso un rovente muro d’orto,
ascoltare tra i pruni e gli sterpi
schiocchi di merli, frusci di serpi.
Nelle crepe del suolo o su la veccia
spiar le file di rosse formiche
ch’ora si rompono ed ora s’intrecciano
a sommo di minuscole biche.
Osservare tra frondi il palpitare
lontano di scaglie di mare
mentre si levano tremuli scricchi
di cicale dai calvi picchi.
E andando nel sole che abbaglia
sentire con triste meraviglia
com’e’ tutta la vita e il suo travaglio
in questo seguitare una muraglia
che ha in cima cocci aguzzi di bottiglia.

Alert! Bookjackers. Attenzione falsi venditori di libri on line!

Da un libraio che vende online ho scoperto una realtà che mi ha sorpreso: quando ho acquistato un libro on line su Amazon.ca ho scoperto che il venditore era negli Stati Uniti ed il prezzo del volume variava molto secondo i venditori proposti da Amazon (da 25 a 60 dollari per lo stesso libro).
Alla mia richiesta di spedire tramite posta (USPS) invece di corriere (UPS o altri) mi è stato risposto che ERA già stato inviato senza fornire alcuna indicazione su trasportatore e referenza.
Insospettito ho fatto una ricerca che avrei dovuto fare prima dell'ordine (ma mi ero fidato di Amazon) ed ho scoperto la triste realtà dei "BOOKJACKER" che infettano l'E-COMMERCE.
Chi è / Who is 
someone who re-posts a genuine online listing for a book at an inflated price on another website. If someone buys from the bookjacker, he (the bookjacker) buys the book from the original seller and provides him with the address of the customer. The bookjacker never sees or handles the book, but collects his margin.

We've been selling books online since about 1995. Over the years we've seen many changes in our own company as well as at sites like Abebooks.com, Amazon.com, and Alibris. One of the worst developments has been the rise of the BOOKJACKERS.
Who is a bookjacker? A more appropriate question may be what is a bookjacker. From what we've been able to piece together, there are about 40 "sellers" on Abe & Amazon (we don't really bother looking at Alibris and Half.com all that much) that do not own any of their own stock, but simply hijack other legitimate booksellers' listings from other websites and then post the listings with inflated prices. The availability of APIs (http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/A/API.html) from Abe, Half.com and (especially) Amazon have made it very easy for people with computer programming skill to become bookjackers and pull the wool over unsuspecting consumers' collective eyes.
Here's how it works. A legitimate seller is selling a book on Half.com. Perhaps he's offering the ONLY copy on Half.com and coincidentally, there are no copies available on Amazon. The bookjacker, by way of his advanced software, is able to quickly detect the presence of this title on Half.com, it's ABSENCE on Amazon.com, and then upload his own offer for this title at Amazon.com at an inflated price. Best regards, Ganesh S Amazon.ca But: From a blog at this address +Bottom line: Amazon will not do anything about it because they are making two commissions on the the sale of one book. How? Customer A buys a “new” book from Daily Deals, and Amazon charges DD a commission for this sale; Daily Deals then buys a beat up used book from an actual seller (pocketing the huge difference of course, which is the game they play and their sole business model), and Amazon of course then charges another commission for the sale of this second book sale. One book, two commissions. It is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen.+
